Many people think that vegan and cruelty-free are synonyms, but that’s not the case. Vegan means no animal ingredients, while cruelty-free means that those ingredients are never tested on animals. We happen to be both — no animal ingredients or testing, ever! Here’s why we stand by our commitment to vegan and cruelty-free beauty:
- No animals are harmed! While our pets at home are protected by some abuse laws, lab animals have no such luxury. As a company full of animal lovers and life-long pet owners, standing up for the fair treatment of animals was an easy decision.
- Cruelty-free cosmetic testing happens either in clinical trials with fully consenting humans, or in-vitro, which means “in glass” in Latin. Safe, effective, and not a bunny in sight!
- Vegan products are generally better for sensitive skin! Our bodies are much more likely to accept ingredients from the earth. That’s why we use natural root, flower, herb, and berry extracts in our cushion foundations to help soothe skin.
I have dry sensitive skin prone to redness and the cushion fit my skin perfectly. Cushion has a “healing” effect due to its natural ingredients. I really loved it!
