Struggling with liquid eyeliner? You’re not alone.
A sharp wing looks amazing… but getting it right? Not so easy - especially if you don’t have a super steady hand or a lot of time.
That’s why we love this simple little eyeliner stamping trick - perfect for beginners, rushed mornings, or anyone who wants great eyeliner without the drama.
Here’s how the hack works:
Step 1: Use a felt tip eyeliner
Not all eyeliners work for this. You’ll want one with a firm, tapered felt tip (like our Perfect Eyeliner), so it holds its shape and makes crisp lines.
Step 2: Turn the liner horizontally
Instead of trying to draw a wing in one motion, turn the eyeliner sideways so the length of the felt tip points outward.
Step 3: Stamp, don’t swipe
Use the edge of the pen to stamp the wing shape onto your outer corner — this gives you the perfect flick as your guide.
You can then lightly connect it to your upper lash line and fill in any gaps with short strokes.
Step 4: Do the same on your inner corner (optional)
You can also apply the same stamp trick on your inner corners for a soft, lifted shape.
Step 5: Add mascara or falsies
Once your wing is down, finish with mascara (or lashes, if you love the drama), and that’s it - clean, symmetrical eyeliner every time.
